About Us

500 million straws used in the USA... per day!!!

It takes 11 years for a plastic straw to decompose

Every year 1 million seabirds and 100,000 marine animals die from ingesting plastic

We know there’s too much plastic (and other chemicals and nasties) in the world.

So many of the plastic items we use on a daily basis are totally unnecessary…

And then we look at other products we consume…

There is so much cruelty in the world to keep up with our demand for meat, dairy, and other animal products such as leather, suede and wool.

But we also know it can be difficult and sometimes inconvenient (and expensive) to find alternatives, even if we want to.

Does it mean everyone should adopt a vegan lifestyle and live off grid?

While this might be for some people, it’s not a realistic solution for everyone.

We don’t think being a friend to the environment should mean compromising on style, design or functionality.

We also don’t think it’s cool to pay a fortune to save the planet.

But we do believe in grassroots movements and small changes that have a big impact…

Declining plastic straws, taking your own shopping bags, carrying reusable cutlery, having your own coffee cup, trying to go meat/dairy free more often, buying cruelty free cosmetics and wool / leather alternatives  - these are all small and relatively easy ways to reduce your impact on the environment.

And the more that we can all do, the bigger the benefit for our planet, our health and our future.
